Muirhead Avenue East

Back our Campaign for a New Crossing on Muirhead Avenue East and Oak Lane

Local Campaigner Kayleigh Halpin is calling for a new crossings in our area.

There are no pedestrian crossings on over ¾ of a mile stretch between the junction of Lewisham Road and Muirhead Avenue East, and the junction of Oak Lane and Croxteth Hall Lane. Despite there being lots of shops, bus stops and other reasons to cross - there’s no safe crossing.

These roads are difficult to cross because they are dual carriageways and the grass verges are often overgrown or muddy.

Kayleigh and the West Derby Lib Dems think that a crossing near Tso’s Fish and Chip shop would be the right place for a new crossing. It’s close to shops, bus stops, the Lingmell Inn and Spring Park Nursery.

We really need a new crossing on Oak Lane and Muirhead Avenue East.

This isn’t safe for most people - let alone people with mobility issues, parents pushing prams and people in wheelchairs - that’s why I am campaigning for a new crossing. If you care about road safety in our area then sign my petition.
