Save Colomendy

Colomendy education centre

On 18th January 2025 Colomendy announced that it was closing with immediate effect.

The much loved outdoor education centre in Mold, North Wales has been owned by Liverpool City Council since 1939. It has hosted generations of Liverpool school children, for many their first time away from home.

Since 2021, Liberal Democrat councillors have been exposing the neglect of the site by the operator Kingswood, who have now ceased trading. The Labour council's failure to make sure Kingswood maintain the site now risks leaving council tax payers with a large bill to restore listed buildings that have been allowed to become derelict.

Liberal Democrats are demanding that the council works to reopen the site as a facility for our city's children, instead of selling it off for housing.

Save Colomendy Outdoor Education Centre

We call on Liverpool City Council to work to reopen Colomendy as an outdoor education centre for Liverpool children.
