Let there be light!

Local Lib Dem Councillors Laurence Sidorczuk and Carl Cashman are making a rallying call for lights to be installed at the Mystery Park.

The call comes after a lady was sexually assualted in the park just after Christmas. Lib Dem Councillors are working with Merseyside police to ensure swift justice ad a safer park.

Cllr Cashman said ‘It is awful to hear of the attack in the Mystery. No woman in our local community should have to walk in fear of being attacked and the culprit must be punished.’

Local Councillors and residents have asked for lighting in the Mystery for years but calls have fallen on death ears. Now a petition on Change has garnered 1000 signatures and the Liberal Democrats fully back the campaign and want to spearhead it with the Council.

‘We have asked the Council for costings and a feasability study into lighting at the Mystery and we will be pushing with with the help and support of the local residents.’ said local Cllr Laurence Sidorczuk.
