Liverpool Lib Dems put forward an amendment seeking to protect fortnightly bin collections after a Labour councillor and former Cabinet Member doubled down on suggesting the council should move over to monthly or 3-weekly collection for its purple bins.
Despite a Labour amendment, the Lib Dems have secured additional protection for Liverpool 8’s African Caribbean Centre for now and into the future.
Lib Dems pushed Labour to go further on schools motion at full council meeting, and this was accepted with a slight modification.
